Our Mission

The Deerpath Garden Club of Lake Forest,
a member of the Garden Clubs of Illinois
and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
was established in 1960 to stimulate
knowledge and love of horticulture
among amateur gardeners and
to encourage civic beauty.

The Deerpath Garden Club of Lake Forest, a fruit of local friendships,
provides funding for garden and landscape beautification projects
within the Lake Bluff and Lake Forest communities. The Club’s award-winning
Telegraph Road Gardens were designed and nurtured by club members,
in partnership with the City of Lake Forest, since the Gardens’ inception in the
early 1990s. The Gardens’ design awards, bestowed both in 1994 and again
in 2008, are indicative of the Club’s continued commitment to civic
beautification. The Deerpath Garden Club of Lake Forest has hosted
garden walks featuring magnificent local landscapes both large
and small. The year 2010 marked the Club’s 50th Anniversary
milestone with a joyous celebration gathering friends and
supporters of the Club’s Philanthropic Mission
“In the Garden.”
